Minna JefferyAfter realising that her political and artistic beliefs could in fact be easily combined, Minna became one half of the duo that founded the Antigone Collective. Her passion for theatre began at a young age, and she wrote her first play at the age of 8 - a surprisingly metaphysical monologue giving voice to a blackberry rolling down a hill. Minna graduated from the University of York with a BA in English and Related Literature in 2016. Following this she completed an MA in Text and Performance at Birkbeck and RADA in 2017. Since graduating she has been working as a freelance dramaturg and theatre-maker. As a theatre-maker she is interested in translation, live art, and politically-motivated work.

Marta DonatiMarta finds herself beautifully described by this famous Nanni Moretti statement: “I wander, I see people, I move, I know some things, I do some things”. Among the things she does, her favourite is theatre. This is why, in her second year at York, she became one of the two creators of the Antigone Collective, which unites research into human rights issues, politics and theatre. She is now studying English and Related Literature. She started acting in Italy at the age of 14 and her first dramaturgy project, carried out with other people from her theatre course, was named “Lives of Plywood” (it being a play set in Ikea). Other interests include cats, lots of films, various types of tea and - for the category “I wander” – holidays based on the appreciation of local food and drinks
